Our Story
Horizon Engineering
is a licensed and insured professional engineering firm based in Brownfield, Texas, serving clients across West Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. Led by founding President Travis Barnett, PE, the firm brings together 15 years of civil and geotechnical engineering experience with more than a decade of hands-on agricultural knowledge as a row-crop farm owner and operator in Terry County, Texas.
With a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, Travis offers a practical, field-informed approach to subsurface investigations, soil analysis, and engineering solutions. This blend of technical expertise and real-world land experience has helped position Horizon Engineering as a trusted resource for geotechnical and civil engineering services throughout the region.
